Privacy statement for Vincent Chu apps
Private by default. Local by design.
This policy applies to iOS, iPadOS, and macOS apps published by Vincent Chu when an app links to this page.

Scope
This privacy policy covers my Apple platform apps, including macOS, iOS, and iPadOS apps that link here from the App Store, Mac App Store, an in-app screen, or a support page.
In this policy, “local” and “on-device” mean processing and storage on the device you own and use to run the app. App content stays on that device during processing; it is not sent to remote servers for processing. Examples of user content may include books, receipts, photos, videos, clipboard items, notes, speech projects, generated stories, app settings, scan indexes, and other files or text that a user chooses to open, create, or save in an app.
The apps do not send personal information, documents, media, clipboard history, receipts, prompts, generated text, or usage activity directly to servers that I operate. Platform-provided reports and information you voluntarily send for support are described below.
App files, app settings, caches, indexes, OCR results, summaries, generated content, and other app data are stored locally by the app and the operating system unless the user explicitly exports, shares, backs up, or syncs them using system features. Copies may also be included in backups or synced folders according to your device and storage settings.
The apps do not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services for app data collection, and do not use cloud AI services. Platform SDKs and system services may process information as described below. This is separate from app content collection by me.
Platform SDKs, services, and telemetry
Apps depend on operating-system frameworks, software development kits (SDKs), app stores, and system services. Where an app uses Apple or Google SDKs or platform services, those providers may collect or process telemetry such as device and operating-system information, app version, identifiers, IP address, performance measurements, crash reports, diagnostics, purchase information, and interactions with their services. The information involved depends on the app, SDK or service, platform version, permissions, and your account and device settings; not every category applies to every app.
The apps process your content locally and do not send your documents, recordings, prompts, or generated content to Apple, Google, or other platform providers. Platform telemetry is separate from this app content. Providers may make diagnostic reports or aggregate app-store statistics available to developers according to their services and your settings.
Providers describe their processing, retention, and available controls in their own policies: Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy. You can review device privacy permissions, analytics and diagnostic sharing, account privacy settings, and backup or sync settings. The controls available vary by platform and service. This policy describes my practices and does not replace those provider policies or limit rights you have under applicable law.
Permissions, sharing, and backups
An app may need access to the microphone, photos, camera, selected files, or other device resources for features you choose to use. Review and revoke permissions in system settings; some features may stop working without access. Content you export, share, or save to a cloud-backed folder may be received by the destination app, recipient, or storage provider under their own practices.
Retention, deletion, and security
Local content remains until you delete it using the app or system controls. Depending on the platform, uninstalling an app may leave exported files, shared copies, backups, or data outside its app storage. Manage those copies separately with the relevant recipient or provider. I cannot delete copies that I do not hold.
Local processing reduces transmission of content but does not guarantee that data cannot be accessed or lost. Use device security features and take care when sharing sensitive content or backups.
Support and privacy requests
If you contact me, I receive the contact details and information you choose to send, which may include screenshots, attachments, or diagnostic logs. I use this information to respond, troubleshoot, and address privacy requests, and retain it only as needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations. Avoid sending sensitive content unless needed for your request. Information I hold may be disclosed when required by law.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information I hold, or exercise other rights available under applicable law, through the contact page. Requests about information held independently by Apple, Google, or another provider should also be directed to that provider.
All AI features run on your device
All AI features run locally on the device you own. No cloud AI services are used.
All AI processing, including language models, voice cloning, and other AI features offered by an app, takes place on your device. Prompts, source text, recordings, and generated results never leave your device for AI processing. The apps do not send this content to my servers, third-party AI APIs, or cloud AI services. An app may use Apple's on-device language model or other local frameworks when your device and operating system support them.
Local AI results can still be saved in the app, copied to the clipboard, exported, included in device backups, or shared by the user. Anyone with access to the device, app data, exported files, or backups may be able to view that local content.

Children's privacy
The apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Platform services and this website have separate privacy practices as described here. If you believe a child has sent me personal information through a support request, please contact me so I can address it.

Visiting this page or an app support page is subject to the website privacy policy, including website analytics and advertising services. An app-specific privacy policy, where provided, describes practices specific to that app.
Changes
I may update this privacy policy when app behavior or platform requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes materially.
